New Facility Rental Hours

Starting the week of March 17, the Film Arts Rental Facility will be open three days a week, the following hours:

Wednesday: 9:30am - 6pm
Thursday: 2pm - 6pm
Friday: 9:30am - 6pm

Weekend rentals will constitute a Friday afternoon (2pm-5:30pm) to Wednesday morning (9:30am-12pm) rental - at no extra charge!

Film Arts is now renting the Panasonic HVX200 HD camera at the member rate of $200 day / $235 weekend. For an additional $50 (each) the camera is available with a Firestore FS-100 mountable hard drive, a Century-Precision matte box system, and Vinten tripod system. For complete rates, click here.

Unsure how to shoot in HD? Questions about workflow? Film Arts will be having a number of orientations for members in January and February. Announcements will be made via the website or through Film Arts’ Answer Print. To sign up for Answer Print, please click here.

Equipment and Facility Rentals

Film Arts Foundation offers below-market rental rates on a variety of film and video making equipment, as well as production, post-production and other facilities. Access is available only to Film Arts members working on noncommercial projects.

The production facility rents HD, DV, Super-8 and 16mm camera packages, sound, grip, and lighting packages, and other accessories and gear. The post-production facility houses 16mm and nonlinear (Avid, Pro Tools, and Final Cut Pro) video editing rooms, as well as an optical printer and an audio lab. Audition and rehearsal spaces as well as screening facilities are available.
